Auction Block Clerks

We are currently looking for part-time block clerks to work on Friday mornings.  Job includes listening to amount of bids called by Auctioneer and record final bids in auction program for vehicles sold. Basic computer skills needed.  Ability to listen well and accurately record all sold vehicle information.   This is an ideal job for someone that would like something different to do one day a week.  Send resume to info@richmondaa.com.

Part Time Vehicle Drivers

The Richmond Auto Auction has a position available for Part-Time Drivers, with the opportunity to work up to 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday.  This position is based in Richmond, VA and may involve transportation of vehicles throughout the state.

Responsibilities:

  • Following all the rules of the road, drive and deliver vehicles locally and out of the area, as needed.
  • Safely, drive vehicles at the weekly, Friday auction.
  • Clearly update vehicle documentation.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Available to work between 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
  • Agility to perform extensive walking, daily.
  • 2+ DMV record, minimum.
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position.
  • Must have cellphone.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Compensation:

  • $8.00/hour

Basic vehicle knowledge a plus – Interest in learning a bonus.  Ideal position for retired adult.

 

Condition Report Writer 

 

Richmond Auto Auction is looking for a Vehicle Condition Report Writer for our General Services Administration (GSA) account.

JOB SUMMARY:  Reports to the (GSA) manager. Inspect federal government vehicles for damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems upon arrival at the auction.  Complete electronic vehicle inspection promptly and accurately.  Perform all additional duties assigned by the (GSA) manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Complete inspection of arriving vehicles for damage and ensure vehicles inspected meet the program standards as defined by the contract.
  • Take pictures of vehicles that are being inspected.
  • Reduce arbitration vehicles and auction liability by completing thorough inspections.
  • Maintain a working knowledge on improvements and changes concerning body shop labor; maintain knowledge of current rates, labor and parts charges to ensure that the condition reports are completed correctly.
  • Submit completed condition reports to the (GSA) manager by download from hand-held device or submission of written report.
  • Monitor all shop area condition, vehicles, property and equipment to ensure they are within the standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance and safety.
  • Maintain good operating condition of all equipment. Advise (GSA) manager of all equipment breakdowns and maintenance immediately.
  • Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
  • Attend required training sessions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or GED
  • General knowledge of automotive components and bodywork process.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and qualified to operate a motor vehicle.
